A free website check for tradespeople across Scotland

If your website does not say what you do and where you work, customers move on to the next name on the list.

Most trades in Scotland are found on a phone, often while someone is standing in a cold kitchen waiting for an answer. Your website has a few seconds to make it obvious that you can help.

This check looks at your homepage once and scores it out of 100. You get a private report link that explains each result in plain English, plus the one thing worth fixing first.

The offer

Get your website fixed free through November. From 1 December, it’s £49 per month, with the £99 setup fee waived. Walk away anytime.

What the free check covers

Everything below comes from one look at your homepage. We tell you what we found, in plain English, and what to do next.

  • Whether your site loads over a secure connection and gives visitors the padlock.
  • Whether the page has the usual mobile setting that tells a phone to fit the page to its screen. We read it from the page code, not by opening your site on a phone.
  • Whether your homepage has a tappable phone link, a form or an email link. We do not send test messages.
  • Whether your homepage mentions your trade and your town, in the words customers use.
  • Whether the page title and description say something useful when your site appears in search results.
  • Whether your business details are marked up in a way search engines can read clearly.

What happens after the check

You get a score out of 100 and a short written introduction explaining what it means. Anything that needs attention is listed with a practical next step, not a sales pitch.

If you would like it sorted, Business Site Works can take it from there. The offer shown on this page is the current one, and it is always dated so you know exactly what you are getting.

Business Site Works works with tradespeople across Scotland. This check is independent, it is not a Google score, and it does not measure search rankings.
