Website check for Scottish electricians
Rewires, fuse boards and certification work are big decisions. Your website should make you look as careful as your work.
Customers looking for an electrician want three things quickly: that you are qualified, that you cover their area, and that you are easy to contact. If any of those is missing from your homepage, the enquiry goes elsewhere.
The free check reads your homepage the way a browser does and scores what it finds out of 100. No jargon, no talk of rankings, and no pretending a basic check is a full audit.
The offer
Get your website fixed free through November. From 1 December, it’s £49 per month, with the £99 setup fee waived. Walk away anytime.

What we look for on an electrician’s homepage
Everything below comes from one look at your homepage. We tell you what we found, in plain English, and what to do next.
- Electrical wording: does the page mention electrical work, wiring or the services you actually offer?
- Your area: does the town or region you cover appear in the homepage text?
- Contact: whether there is a tappable phone link, a form or an email link. We do not send test messages.
- Mobile setting: whether the page carries the usual viewport setting that tells a phone to fit the page to its screen.
- Page information: a title and description that make sense in a search result.
- Business details: structured information search engines can read, such as your business type and address.
A careful check, honestly described
Some of what matters to an electrician cannot be judged automatically, such as certificates, guarantees or the quality of your work. We do not pretend otherwise, and the report will always tell you what was and was not checked.
If your site blocks automated visits, we will say so and offer a manual review instead of inventing a score. Business Site Works can then fix whatever the review turns up.
Business Site Works works with tradespeople across Scotland. This check is independent, it is not a Google score, and it does not measure search rankings.
