What the check looks at
Five things we look at on your homepage
Each one is read from your homepage’s page code, in plain English, with no guesswork about what a customer would think of the design.
Mobile setting
Whether your page has the setting that tells a phone to fit the page to its screen. We read the code, we do not open your site on a phone.
Contact options
Whether there is a tappable phone link, a form or an email link on the page. We do not send a test message.
Page wording
Whether the words on your homepage mention what you do and the main area you serve. We report those two separately, from the page text we could read.
Page title and description
Whether your page title and description are a sensible length and mention your trade or your town.
Business details
Whether your business name, town and phone number are marked up so search engines read them clearly.
We load your homepage once, read its page code and score what we find. No crawling, no logins, no guessing.
Check my websiteA Facebook page or a Google Business Profile is not a standalone website. You can still try the check, but those platforms often block automated visits, so we will tell you plainly if we cannot read the page instead of giving you a score we cannot stand behind.
How it works
Three steps, about half a minute
You get a private link to your report on screen, and we can email a copy once delivery is available. The link is private to whoever holds it, so only share it with people you want to see it.
